PRSA SunCon24: Sponsoring & Speaking at a Disney World Conference

PRSA Sunshine District’s popular conference, #SunCon24, convened Thursday, July 25 and Friday, July 26 at Walt Disney World’s BoardWalk Inn, attracting hundreds of public relations professionals to the state’s only annual PRSA convention. Hosted this year by PRSA Orlando in partnership with PRSA Sunshine District, the conference theme, "Once Upon a Strategy, focused on the importance of strategic storytelling in developing and implementing effective public relations campaigns and beyond. PRSA SunCon24 had plenty of Disney Magic!

SunCon24 featured a variety of amazing keynote speakers and breakout sessions from companies such as Disney, Orlando Pride soccer team, and the Florida government. In addition to sessions there were some amazing meals, networking opportunities, and even surprises like an ice cream break featuring Mickey bars. This year it was neat to see the JK Creative logo featured throughout the event on print and digital materials. We also had a booth where we were able to chat with conference goers and tell them more about our services.

Julie joined a panel of other professionals to chat about branding. It was a great discussion chatting about past examples, suggestions for strategy, and answering lots of questions. Here was a little more info about the session:

There was even an Epcot Dessert Party!

One of the highlights of SunCon24 was a private dessert party in Epcot! Attendees were escorted back to the American Pavilion in the World Showcase where we enjoyed a menu of international treats such as:

  • Matcha desserts from Japan

  • Pistachio Cannolis from Italy

  • Pretzel Chocolate cookies from Germany

  • Strawberry pastry from France

  • Sticky Toffee Pudding from the UK

  • Assorted alcoholic beverages, non alcoholic drinks, coffee, and tea

Once we finished dessert we headed over to the Italy pavilion to a private spot right on the water. It offered the most amazing view of the nighttime show Luminous: The Symphony of Us. What a magical night!
